I may almost be 30, but there seems to be an abundant amount of “have yets” in my life. Simple ones. Things most people my age experienced 15 years ago.

For starters, I have yet to see the Star Wars movies. Any of them. It should come as no surprise, then, that I have also never seen any Star Trek  episodes. And it’s not that I’m not a fan of sci-fi, I like sci-fi.

This past Friday, however, I checked a rather seminal one off the list.

I got my first manicure. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I had never had my nails did. Needless to say, it was a rewarding experience—my nails are all shiny and pretty—and one that I plan on repeating.

Hands down, the best part was when the gay Thai man doing my nails said, “Ohhhh. Your nails are so small. They are like baby’s!” Ding, fries are done.
