In less than a month, I will no longer be a member of the 20’s club. I’m not going to mourn any kind of loss. Thirty, I embrace you. That being said, I don’t sense I’m going to be overly jazzed about no longer starting my age with the number 2.

In any case, I realized how long three decades on this planet is yesterday when I heard Billy Idol’s “White Wedding” on K-Earth 101, the oldies radio station here in Los Angeles.

What?! I know I’ve been gone for four years, but since when did K-Earth start playing 80’s music!?! 80’s are oldies? Really?

Which only leads me to anxiously pose the question: How long until Brittney Spears’ “Hit Me Baby One More Time” makes it onto their playlist? Now that, I will mourn.
