Rejection Letter of the Day (#10)
Dear Barbara,
Thank you for your submission to the “Remember That You Will Die”
essay competition sponsored by Killing the Buddha, Obit-Mag.com, and
the Rubin Museum. Our judges had a challenging time selecting only six
winners from a pool of more than a hundred submissions. While your
essay did not make this final cut, your submission was a vital part of
a strong field of entries.
Please join us at the Rubin Museum of Art on Friday July 30th from
7:30–9:30 for a celebration of the Remember that You Will Die: Death
Across Cultures exhibition, including readings from contest winners. A
happy hour begins at 6:00, and admission is free. If you can’t make it
to the Rubin Museum celebration, you’ll be able to read the winning
essays soon at Obit-mag.com and Killing the Buddha.
We hope you’ll keep reading Killing the Buddha and Obit-mag.com and
consider submitting to either in the future. Keep up with the latest
from both by signing up for our mailing lists and following us on
Facebook.
Thank you again for your submission. It was a privilege to read your work.
Sincerely,
The Editors of Obit-mag.com and Killing the Buddha
